Propose an Event
The Bridging the Gaps initiative welcomes proposals for events that facilitate collaboration in any way between mathematical sciences, information and computing technology, and engineering.
The process for submitting a proposal for consideration as an activity to be supported by the Bridging the Gaps initiative is a relatively informal business, as outlined in the following document:
Creative suggestions for activities are sought, for example an interdisciplinary workshop, speed dating event, discovery away-day or research retreat. To assist in planning and organising your activity, you will receive support from the Project Manager (Lindsey Gaunt) and Project Administrator (Kerrie Walker).
Bridging the Gaps also aims to discover what mechanisms for nurturing collaborations are most successful. For this reason, event organisers should expect to gather feedback from attendees and prepare a short report following their event, and then an update on the outcomes of the event about 6 months later.
